Leo Atakpu has over 14 years experience working on development issues across Africa and beyond and 19 years work experience in the print media, The Nigerian Observer. Leo is co-founder of Society for Water and Sanitation (NEWSAN), a Nigerian network consisting of more than 300 local groups working on a diverse set of water related issues in the country. Collectively the NEWSAN follows national policy on water and sanitation, seeking to improve access to water for all Nigerians. He is currently a member of Board of Directors of the Reality of Aid (RoA) Africa and the Chair of the Board of Directors of Africa Civil Society Network on Water and Sanitation (ANEW).
He holds a Higher National Diploma in Agriculture (HND) from the then Bendel State College of Agriculture (Anwai-Asaba) (1989), Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, IIJ, Abuja (1996), Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM), from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria (2003). Prof. Edward Kairu

Prof. Kairu has over 20 years experience in development work mainly in African countries. He worked for the UNDP/ UNOPS as the Chief Technical Adviser, attached to the Lesotho Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture. He has also worked as an adviser to the UNDP/ Global Environment Fund within the Asia - Pacific region and as a Consultant for UNDP Liberia and UNICEF Kenya. Kairu has taught at various Kenyan universities for over 10 years. He holds a PhD in Climatology from McGill University (Canada); MSc in Hydro Climatology and BSc (Physics, Mathematics and Geography) from the University of Nairobi. Currently, he is the Executive Director of Maji na Ufanisi (Water and Development) a Kenyan NGO dealing with Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation (WES) and also the ANEW board Member for East Africa - African Civil Society Network on Water and Sanitation email@example.com

Ousseni M. Diallo

Ousséni Diallo has several years experience in the WASH sector in Africa. He is President of Green Cross Burkina Faso and has been a member of the Green Cross International Board since 2010. Ousséni was the founding member of UNESCO Clubs in Burkina Faso in his youth. Through his engagement in WASH, environmental protection and logical management of natural resources, he has held many high-ranking positions not only in Burkina Faso but also throughout West Africa. Diallo was the coordinator of numerous regional and national projects and programmes.
